Introductory post-- with offerings!

Hello, all! I saw The Thirteenth Warrior for the first time a week ago, and adored it from the beginning. I am primarily a slash writer; I saw the Harger/Ahmed subtext immediately, and later realized I could add Buliwyn or Olga to the mix. Hopefully I'll have some fic or meta to post in the future; for now, I present to you a short, silent video and 27 icons of varying moods and quality (all are pretty Ahmed-centric.... hope that's not a problem for anyone. ^-^)


The video will make a lot more sense if you are familiar with the concept of cat macros—pictures of cats with captions on them. cat_macros is the prevailing lj community. As usually happens, the funnier macros get passed around and become "classics," and other macros are made in response to them. The classic macro I'm basing this video off of is here.

If you want to use one/several/all of these icons, please drop me a comment to let me know; it makes me happy! Then download these pictures to your own computer and put my username (KaylieMalinza) somewhere in the filename. That way, you won't be hotlinking (stealing my bandwidth) and even if you re-discover these icons on an old CD backup in ten years' time, you'll know who to credit and won't have to say, "I don't know who made this, lolz! Let me know if it's you, oops!"

Please please PLEASE credit me in the userpic keywords. I didn't give blood, sweat, and tears to make these icons, but I did put in some effort, and it's nice to have that recognized. Also, it's helpful for people who like the icons and want to use them or others like them. I check for keyword credit when I see people using my icons, and if I find out you haven't credited me, I will leave you a bubbly and forgiving comment reminding you to do so, and you will probably feel slightly embarrassed for a few seconds. And nobody wants that, do they?
